Since 1998, Cecil Land Trust (CLT) has worked with the community and conservation partners to assist property owners in protecting their farm and forest lands.

With our partners, CLT has helped to permanently protect approximately 4,000 acres. CLT is committed to raising awareness about the importance of conserving northeastern Maryland’s farms, forests, waters and historical heritage now and for future generations through education, outreach and community partnerships.

Through our network of volunteer Board members, landowners, friends, and allies, we also strive to encourage sustainable agricultural practices on conserved properties and to promote the economic importance of sustainable local food production and agro-tourism to our region
